Consolidation works of the Acquasanta breakwater in Italy
🌊 At the end of June, two CLI Concrete Layer Innovations experts had the pleasure of returning to Palermo (Italy) to support the companies Costruzioni Bruno Teodoro S.p.A. - main executing company - and SOMIT Srl on the Acquasanta breakwater rehabilitation site as part of the consolidation works of the Acquasanta breakwater with contractor Consorzio Stabile Infra. Tech S.c.a.r.l.
This second mission was an opportunity to train the SOMIT team in the installation of ACCROPODE™ II and ECOPODE™ blocks. A true moment of exchange and shared learning on the field.
💪 The installation is now underway, with the support of divers from Social Work Lavori Subacquei. The incredible transparency of Sicilian waters and the mild weather provide ideal working conditions.
✨ We are particularly excited to see the ECOPODE™ blocks, prefabricated with particular colorings that give a natural effect of Villa Igiea rocks installed for the first time in Sicily by Costruzioni Bruno Teodoro S.p.A., bringing both a realistic rock-armoring effect and enhanced aesthetics to the breakwater.
We are truly proud to see our practical solutions being implemented, whether in a human-scale project such as Acquasanta or in larger-scale initiatives, showcasing CLI’s expertise and the adaptability of single-shell technologies.
