Creating a Breakwater

New Port in Aberdeen (Scotland)

 New Port in Aberdeen (Scotland)
Aberdeen Port (Scotland) has decided to undertake the expansion of its structures and the creation of a new Port in Nigg Bay, south of the existing Port. This new facility will be protected by two breakwaters. This area in the North Sea is subjected to harsh wave conditions and the Designer H.R. Wallingford (UK) has decided to protect the breakwaters using single-layer ACCROPODE™ II units. The Project was awarded to the Scottish Branch of Dragados (Spain) at the end of December 2016. CLI will work along Dragados’ teams to implement the ACCROPODE™ II technology on site.
